Recognizing this gap, a group of developers and designers decided to create Lucide – an open-source, free, and continuously evolving icon library, inheriting the spirit of Feather Icons but with significant improvements.
From Feather Icons to Lucide – An Evolution
📌 2017: Feather Icons was introduced, becoming one of the most lightweight and popular icon sets.
📌 2021: As Feather Icons were no longer frequently updated, the community decided to fork and improve it, leading to the birth of Lucide.
