Dylan and Evan believed the future of design was cloud-based, allowing multiple users to collaborate seamlessly—just like Google Docs transformed document editing.
With this vision, they developed Figma, leveraging WebGL to deliver a smooth, browser-based design experience. After years of testing and refinement, Figma officially launched in 2016 and quickly became a game-changer in the design world.

In 2022, Adobe announced plans to acquire Figma for $20 billion, but in December 2023, the deal was canceled due to regulatory issues in the US, UK, and EU.
